Australian IVF provider Genea confirms hackers accessed patients' healthcare data

Genea, one of Australia’s largest fertility services providers, experienced a cyberattack that led to the theft and online publication of sensitive patient information. The ransomware group Termite claims to have exfiltrated roughly 700 GB of data and posted screenshots of patient records; the incident caused phone and app outages, disrupted patient communications, and prompted a legal order to prevent dissemination of the compromised data while investigations continue.
