Cyberattack hits Northern Ireland’s centralized school network, disrupting access for thousands

A cyberattack on Northern Ireland's centralized C2K school IT network disrupted access to teaching materials, assignments and communications for around 300,000 pupils and 20,000 teachers; the Education Authority shut the system down, engaged Capita and an incident response company, and is progressively restoring services while investigating whether personal data was affected.
