Amid rising threats, NATO holds its largest-ever cyberdefense exercise

NATO conducted its largest-ever Cyber Coalition exercise in Tallinn, bringing together 1,300 participants from 29 allies and seven partners to practice coordinated responses to complex, below-Article-5 cyber and hybrid threats targeting critical infrastructure and space assets. The multi-day drill emphasized information sharing, legal and operational coordination with civilian sectors, and realistic scenarios—from subtle technical anomalies to disinformation—highlighting the need for collaboration to diagnose incidents, attribute activity, and escalate appropriately.
