Ransomware attack disrupting Michigan's Sault Tribe operations

A ransomware attack against the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Michigan disrupted multiple computer and phone systems across tribal administration, health centers, Kewadin Casinos, and other tribal businesses, forcing temporary closures, cancelled medical appointments, halted gaming operations, and cash-only transactions while the tribe investigates and works to restore services.
