Pegasus spyware infections found on several private sector phones

iVerify detected the commercial zero-click spyware Pegasus on 11 of 18,000 devices scanned in December, with victims mainly in private industry (real estate, logistics, finance) and one European official across several countries. The report notes multiple Pegasus variants (2021–2023), some victims were spied on for years, only half received Apple threat notifications, and highlights broader prevalence and operational risk from sophisticated mobile spyware developed by NSO Group.
