The Clean Source Principle and the Future of Identity Security

This article argues that modern identity ecosystems create transitive, often invisible dependencies that form hybrid attack paths, using a GitHub → Entra ID → Active Directory case study to show how trust leaks across platforms and why “assume breach” is pragmatic. It addresses common objections (cloud-native, Zero Trust, AD migration), explains why hardening in isolation fails, and advocates treating Attack Path Management as a continuous practice enabled by graph-based visibility via BloodHound OpenGraph to identify and break the highest-risk intra- and inter-platform relationships.
