Vimeo Data Breach Exposes 119,000 Users Unique Email Addresses

In April 2026 Vimeo was indirectly breached through its analytics vendor Anodot; the extortion group ShinyHunters claimed responsibility and published hundreds of gigabytes of stolen data that included approximately 119,000 unique email addresses and technical metadata. Vimeo reports that passwords, payment card information, and video content were not exposed, has revoked the vendor’s access, engaged external forensic teams, and notified law enforcement; users are advised to monitor for phishing and use unique passwords.
