India’s CERT-In Asks Organizations to Patch Vulnerabilities in Systems Within 12 hours

CERT-In has issued a blueprint urging Indian organizations to adopt a 12-hour remediation baseline for known-exploited internet-facing vulnerabilities and accelerated timelines for other critical exposures, citing the rise of AI-assisted attacks that automate reconnaissance, vulnerability discovery, and exploit development. The guidance also recommends continuous exposure management, zero-trust controls, AI-enabled SOC modernization, deepfake-aware training, and mandatory incident reporting to reduce the window of automated exploitation.
