Android 17 Advanced Protection Mode to Block Malicious Service Usage

Android 17 introduces an opt-in Advanced Protection Mode (AAPM) and new developer APIs to harden device security and user privacy: AAPM blocks sideloading, restricts USB data signaling, enforces continuous Play Protect scanning, and exposes an AdvancedProtectionManager API so apps can adapt behavior. The release also adds a privacy-preserving contact picker, enhanced profiling and debug APIs to detect resource-anomalous apps, and connectivity/location features like UWB Downlink‑TDoA and satellite network optimizations to improve security and performance debugging.
