Vimeo Confirms Data Breach – Hackers Accessed Users Database

Vimeo confirmed a data breach tied to a compromise of third-party analytics vendor Anodot, attributed to the ShinyHunters group; attackers accessed and exfiltrated internal operational data, video titles/metadata, and some user email addresses, while Vimeo asserts that video content, user credentials, and payment information were not exposed. Vimeo disabled Anodot credentials, removed the integration, engaged external forensics and law enforcement, and continues investigating.
