A Vietnam-rooted Cybercrime-as-a-Service ecosystem (O-UNC-036) uses disposable email providers, automated bots, residential proxies, anti-detect browsers, and stolen credentials to mass-provision fraudulent accounts and sell compromised accounts, session tokens, and fraud tools via storefronts (e.g., Via17.com); these services enable large-scale scams including SMS pumping/IRSF, cryptocurrency fraud, and romance/sextortion schemes, and researchers recommend layered defenses such as bot detection, blocking disposable emails, rate limiting, identity proofing, and behavioral analysis.
