Cannon Printer Vulnerability Let Attackers Execute Arbitrary Code

Canon has published an advisory for CVE-2025-1268, a critical out-of-bounds flaw in the EMF Recode processing of multiple Generic Plus printer drivers (V3.12 and earlier) that could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code without privileges or user interaction; affected drivers are used across many Canon production and office printers, and Canon has released updated drivers and recommends immediate installation along with network segmentation and enhanced monitoring.
