Novo Nordisk Confirms Cyber Attack — Hackers Accessed Patient Medical Data and Internal AI Assets

Novo Nordisk disclosed a June 2026 cyberattack in which unauthorized access to internal IT systems led to exfiltration of pseudonymized clinical trial patient data and healthcare professional contact details; a group calling itself Dragonfly claims to have also stolen a 16.7 GB AI model checkpoint (NovoPert), datasets, source code, training logs, container images, and infrastructure maps. Novo Nordisk has not confirmed the full scope of those claims, has taken affected systems offline, engaged external cybersecurity experts, notified authorities, and stated core manufacturing and distribution remain operational.
