OpenAI Releases 5-Point Action Plan to Strengthen AI-Powered Cyber Defense

OpenAI published a five-pillar action plan to accelerate and democratize AI-enabled cyber defense for vetted defenders while limiting adversarial misuse, outlining initiatives such as the Trusted Access for Cyber (TAC) program, cross-government and industry coordination, strengthened internal and supply-chain security for frontier models, tiered deployment controls and real-time safeguards, and user-facing tools to improve cyber hygiene across public and private sectors.
