Authorities Crack Down on 45,000 Malicious IPs Powering Ransomware Attacks

INTERPOL’s Operation Synergia III (18 July 2025–31 January 2026), conducted with private-sector partners, dismantled over 45,000 malicious IPs and command servers supporting global ransomware, malware, phishing and fraud operations, resulted in multiple arrests, ongoing investigations, and the seizure of hundreds of devices and servers used by cybercriminal syndicates.
