Microsoft released an out-of-band update on December 18, 2025 for Windows 10 21H2/22H2 (OS Builds 19044.6693 and 19045.6693) to resolve a MSMQ regression from the December 9 patches that caused queues to become inactive and disrupted IIS/MSMQ-dependent services, especially under clustered, high-load conditions. The release includes cumulative fixes, a servicing stack update (KB5068780) to improve Azure device verification and update reliability, and guidance to ensure access to certificate update domains; Microsoft also warns that Secure Boot certificates will begin expiring in June 2026 and urges proactive planning. Enterprises are advised to prioritize deployment (after staging tests) via Windows Update, Business Update Catalog, or WSUS.
