Ukraine Police Exposed Russian Hacker Group Specializes in Ransomware Attack

Ukrainian and German law enforcement, cooperating with Europol and multiple countries, dismantled members of a Russian‑affiliated ransomware group active from 2022–2025 that carried out high‑impact attacks against companies, institutions, and governments worldwide; suspects specialized in cracking password hashes to enable lateral movement, privilege escalation, deployment of ransomware, data exfiltration and extortion, and authorities seized devices and cryptocurrency while an alleged organizer with possible ties to Conti has been placed on an international wanted list.
