Singaporean security researchers demonstrated that dozens of consumer dashcam models can be hijacked over built-in Wi‑Fi to access high-resolution video, audio and precise GPS data; they documented authentication bypasses (direct file access, MAC spoofing, replay attacks) and produced a worm‑like proof‑of‑concept that can propagate between vehicles, enabling mass surveillance and de‑anonymization.
