OpenAI to Acquire Promptfoo to Fix Vulnerabilities in AI Systems

OpenAI announced it is acquiring Promptfoo, an AI security platform focused on detecting and fixing issues like prompt injection, jailbreaks, and data leaks. Promptfoo’s open-source CLI/library and enterprise tooling will be integrated into OpenAI Frontier to add native automated testing, red‑teaming capabilities, workflow integration, and enhanced oversight and compliance to help organizations secure AI agents before production deployment.
