British National Admits Hacking Companies and Stealing Millions in Virtual Currency

A British national, Tyler Robert Buchanan, pleaded guilty to participating in a coordinated cybercrime campaign that used smishing, company network intrusions, credential harvesting, and SIM swapping to steal at least $1 million in cryptocurrency from dozens of corporate and individual victims; investigators recovered victim data and crypto seed phrases from his residence and several co-conspirators have been prosecuted.
