French Football Federation Reports Data Breach – Hackers Access Club Software Admin Controls

The French Football Federation disclosed a cybersecurity incident in which a compromised administrator account was used to infiltrate the federation’s centralized administrative software and exfiltrate sensitive personal data (names, dates/places of birth, contact details, genders, nationalities, postal addresses, emails, phone numbers and license numbers) of members and licensees; the FFF disabled the account, enforced a platform-wide password reset, has notified ANSSI and CNIL, and is warning affected individuals to watch for phishing and identity-fraud attempts.
