Security analysts report a sustained wave of sophisticated attacks against the telecommunications and media industry over the last 90 days, driven by APTs and criminal ransomware gangs. Attackers exploit web-facing vulnerabilities to deploy memory-resident payloads, establish persistence (registry modifications, scheduled tasks, process injection), and maintain encrypted command-and-control; 65 victims were confirmed (Qilin responsible for 12), with the United States accounting for the majority. The report advises rapid deployment of advanced detection and continuous monitoring across network segments to prevent long-term access.
