Anthropic Launches Claude Tag – AI Teammate Now Lives Inside Slack

Anthropic announced Claude Tag, a new agentic AI integrated into Slack that acts as a persistent team member to break down and execute tasks, maintain channel-level context, proactively surface updates, and run asynchronous workflows. The beta (Opus 4.8) is available to Enterprise and Team customers with admin controls for scoped access, auditing, and spend limits; it will replace the existing Slack Claude with a migration window ending August 3 and is planned to expand to other collaboration platforms.
