Heimdal Survey: Executives Four Times More Confident About AI Risk Than the Teams Managing It

Heimdal's survey of 1,000 UK and US IT professionals finds executives significantly more confident than frontline practitioners that AI risk is under control, that AI adoption has outpaced security controls by roughly two-to-one, and that teams with greater visibility are more likely to flag data leakage as a primary concern; the report recommends treating AI as part of the core IT estate with procurement review, contractual data-handling terms, inventories of sanctioned/unsanctioned tools, and technical controls.
