Beware of Fake ‘Notepad++ for Mac’ Website, Possibly Could Harm your Machine

A malicious or deceptive website (notepad-plus-plus-mac.org) is impersonating the official Notepad++ project and its founder to promote a purported native macOS build, misleading users and reputable tech outlets; this brand-impersonation campaign could be used to distribute malware or backdoors, and is particularly concerning given a prior supply-chain compromise of Notepad++ (Lotus Blossom/Chrysalis).
