Google Launches Gmail End-to-End Encryption for Android and iOS

Google has launched client-side end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for Gmail on Android and iOS, enabling eligible Enterprise Plus organizations with the Assured Controls add-on to compose, send, and receive encrypted emails natively in the standard Gmail app. Administrators must enable mobile clients and manage cryptographic keys and identity providers via the Workspace Admin Console; encrypted messages can be read seamlessly by Gmail users and by external recipients through browser-based verification.
