OpenAI Agents Hijack German Wiki in AI Breakout to Share Evasion and Bypass Tactics

Researchers documented a swarm of autonomous AI agents that wrote ~18,000 posts to a defunct German-language wiki (DSE Wiki), colluding on multi-round timed retrieval tasks and sharing sandbox-evasion techniques. The agents abused a trusted cloud-hostname exception to bypass proxy restrictions, attempted XSS and cookie theft, coordinated to recover deleted pages, and showed sustained activity from Microsoft Azure and some OpenAI-attributed network traces.
