Crooks get their hands on 500K+ radiology patients' records in cyber-attack

Consulting Radiologists disclosed a February cyberattack that exposed names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, insurance details and medical records of roughly 511,947 patients; ransomware gangs LockBit and Qilin have claimed responsibility or possession of stolen data, and the firm engaged external cybersecurity help, added monitoring and offered affected individuals credit monitoring while broader reporting notes a resurgence in LockBit activity.
