MDM vendor Mobile Guardian attacked, leading to remote wiping of 13,000 devices

UK-based Mobile Guardian confirmed an August 4 security incident involving unauthorized access to its device management tools that caused some iOS and ChromeOS devices to be unenrolled and a subset remotely wiped; Singapore's Education Ministry reported about 13,000 wiped student devices, removed the vendor's software, and deployed additional IT support. Mobile Guardian says there is no evidence of data exfiltration, though it previously disclosed an April incident exposing names and email addresses from Singapore schools; customers in Europe and North America may also be affected.
