Palo Alto's new Google Cloud deal boosts AI integration, could save on cloud costs

Palo Alto Networks announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud, committing to migrate key internal workloads to Google’s infrastructure and deepen integrations across its security portfolio, including Prisma AIRS for AI workload protection (Vertex AI, Agent Engine), VM-Series firewall integrations, and Prisma Access within Prisma SASE. The company also signaled adjustments to its cloud purchase commitments—lowering its FY2027 estimate—while maintaining a multiyear ramp toward over $6.3 billion through 2031, and highlighted plans to power its copilots with Vertex AI and Gemini alongside a Google-led go-to-market strategy.
