WhatsApp still working on making View Once chats actually disappear for all

A privacy flaw in WhatsApp's View Once feature lets malicious or modified clients and browser extensions ignore the 'view once' flag and retain disappearing photos, videos, and voice recordings. Zengo publicly disclosed techniques and evidence of active exploitation after Meta's initial, partial patch was bypassed; Meta has applied interim fixes and says a more comprehensive server-side update is forthcoming.
