Fidelity National now says 1.3M customers had data stolen by cyber-crooks

Fidelity National Financial disclosed a cybersecurity incident in which an unauthorized third party accessed its network, deployed malware, and exfiltrated data belonging to about 1.3 million customers; the ALPHV/BlackCat ransomware group claimed responsibility, some IT systems were shut down and services were disrupted, and the company is offering credit monitoring while facing litigation and remediation costs. LoanDepot is also reported to be experiencing a separate ransomware-like incident.
