Microsoft announced a one-time, six-month Extended Security Update program for Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Skype for Business 2015/2019, extending potential Critical/Important security updates from October 14, 2025 to April 14, 2026. These updates are not guaranteed, will only be disclosed to enrolled customers, won’t appear in standard update channels, require paid participation via Microsoft account teams, and will not be extended beyond April 2026.
