Threat Score
Microsoft's May 12 security update causes domain controller discovery to fail on Windows Server 2016 hosts whose machine name is exactly 15 characters, returning ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER and potentially breaking management functions such as DFS Namespace administration; Microsoft has no workaround other than changing the hostname, and also reported separate update-install failures on some Windows 11 systems with insufficient EFI System Partition size.
