Google announced that starting with Chrome 127 on November 1, 2024, it will no longer trust new TLS server certificates chaining to Entrust or AffirmTrust roots, citing years of compliance failures and lack of progress; certificates with earliest SCTs dated on or before October 31, 2024 will remain trusted. The change will affect Chrome on all major OSes except iOS, with manual trust and enterprise override options available; website owners are urged to migrate to another CA before the cutoff to avoid browser warnings.
