Browser 'privacy' extensions have eye on your AI, log all your chats

Koi Security research found four widely distributed Chrome/Edge extensions (Urban VPN Proxy, 1ClickVPN Proxy, Urban Browser Guard, Urban Ad Blocker) were harvesting text from users' conversations with major AI chat platforms by injecting scripts that override browser network APIs and exfiltrate captured content to analytics endpoints linked to BiScience; the data collection was enabled by default with no user toggle and affected millions of users, prompting recommendations to uninstall the extensions immediately.
