NASA bars Chinese citizens from its facilities, networks, even Zoom calls

NASA has instituted restrictions on Chinese nationals’ access to its facilities, materials, and networks to bolster security, following an industrial espionage case and amid intensified U.S.–China competition in space. Agency leaders reaffirmed U.S. goals to return to the Moon as a stepping stone to Mars, while legal constraints continue to limit NASA’s collaboration with China, with narrow exceptions such as reviewing Chang’e 5 lunar samples.
