Attackers swipe data of 500k+ people from Pennsylvania teachers union

PSEA disclosed a July 6, 2024 security incident that exposed sensitive personal, financial, and medical data for 517,487 people. The Rhysida ransomware gang claimed responsibility; PSEA says the attacker acquired and later deleted files, has offered credit monitoring to impacted SSN holders, and has found no evidence so far of identity theft or financial fraud.
