Microsoft’s January 2025 Patch Tuesday update may fail and roll back on Windows devices running Citrix Session Recording Agent (SRA) 2411. Microsoft and Citrix acknowledge the issue; Citrix provides a workaround to temporarily disable the Session Recording Monitor Service before installation and re-enable it afterward. While home users are largely unaffected, enterprises using Citrix components could face delays applying critical fixes, including Hyper-V privilege escalation patches.
