A hacktivist group compromised Andrew Tate's Real World site, copying 221 public and 395 private chat servers, 794,000 usernames, and 324,382 registered email addresses, and reportedly exposed an unprotected 88GB MongoDB instance containing records for about 968,447 accounts (user IDs, emails, encrypted passwords, recovery codes, tokens). The intruders exploited an unpatched vulnerability to upload emojis, delete attachments, crash clients, spam chatrooms with LGBTQ+ imagery and AI-generated images, and sent stolen data to Have I Been Pwned and DDoSecrets while the site owner was livestreaming.
