Brave browser 1.81 will, by default, prevent Microsoft Recall from capturing screenshots of content in Brave tabs to safeguard user privacy, offering a user-controlled override; the change, inspired by Signal but scoped to Recall, comes as Microsoft shifts Recall to opt-in and introduces Copilot Vision to process screenshots in the cloud, while Brave cites prior security and privacy concerns with Recall and targets an August 5, 2025 release.
