Aisuru, an emerging Mirai-style IoT botnet, has grown to an estimated 1–4 million compromised devices and is launching record-setting DDoS attacks (peaking at 29.7 Tbps) using network-layer floods and randomized UDP "carpet-bombing" to evade defenses; Cloudflare mitigated thousands of Aisuru-linked attacks in 2025 Q3 and warns that the botnet's scale, speed, and availability for hire materially increase DDoS risk to enterprises and critical sectors.
