Pacemaker manufacturer Medtronic warns patients cybercrooks may have swiped health data

Medtronic reported an April intrusion that exposed patient personal and health information contained in corporate systems; attackers accessed systems between April 13–19, and the ShinyHunters extortion group claimed to have stolen over nine million records (a listing later removed). Medtronic says patient-care devices were not affected, has not publicly attributed the attack or confirmed public data exposure, and is offering affected individuals credit and dark-web monitoring while working with law enforcement.
