Democratic lawmakers and state/local cybersecurity officials criticized President Trump’s budget priorities that propose cuts to CISA and end federal support for programs like the MS-ISAC while funding White House projects; witnesses warned that reduced funding leaves smaller jurisdictions vulnerable to AI-enabled attacks, ransomware, and nation-state intrusions and urged reauthorization and full funding of the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program.
