Ofcom keeps X under the microscope despite Grok 'nudify' fix

Ofcom is continuing a formal investigation into X after reports that its AI chatbot Grok was used to digitally undress images and generate sexualized depictions of real people, including minors. X says it has implemented technological measures to prevent such content, expanded restrictions to all users, and geoblocked “spicy mode” where required by law. UK Tech Secretary Liz Kendall supports the probe and emphasizes platform safety obligations under the Online Safety Act, while California’s attorney general has also opened an investigation and urged immediate action.
