Kidney dialysis giant DaVita tells 2.4M people they were snared in ransomware data theft nightmare

DaVita reported a ransomware incident that encrypted parts of its network and resulted in theft of sensitive patient and health information for about 2.4 million people; the attack ran from March 24 to April 12, 2025, the company filed with the SEC, and Interlock-linked actors have claimed responsibility while US agencies warned about Interlock’s wide-ranging activity.
