AI agents now help attackers, including North Korea, manage their drudge work

Microsoft threat intelligence warns that cybercriminals and nation-state actors (including North Korea's Coral Sleet) are using agentic AI to automate reconnaissance and rapidly create and manage attack infrastructure, accelerating campaign staging and lowering the technical bar for malicious activity; while AI-generated code is detectable and imperfect, AI-enabled malware that calls external AI functions is a growing concern.
