Remorseless extortionists claim to have stolen thousands of files from Freedman HealthCare

An extortion group styling itself World Leaks claims to have exfiltrated 52.4 GB (42,204 files) from Freedman HealthCare and threatened to publish the data; Freedman says a late-April security incident impacted only one file server and that no protected health information or all-payer claims data were affected. A researcher confirmed some leaked management/user credentials and state contracts but did not find personally identifiable information in the dump. If the group's claims were fully accurate the breach could expose sensitive financial and health-related data for millions, but conflicting statements leave the actual scope unclear.
