Industry coalitions led by Chainguard (Athena) and the Linux Foundation (Akrites) are using advanced AI models to discover, aggregate, and coordinate fixes for large numbers of vulnerabilities in open-source software; members report thousands of findings and thousands of patches across hundreds of projects, prompting creation of centralized clearinghouses, hardened private libraries, and a shared SIRT to manage disclosure and remediation at scale.
