Ukraine busts SIM farms targeting soldiers with spyware

Ukrainian Security Service (SSU) dismantled bot/SIM farm infrastructure used to operate hundreds of mobile numbers and thousands of social accounts that sent phishing SMS and social-engineering lures to Ukrainian soldiers to deploy spyware; operators were tied to or sold access to Russian intelligence, one suspect detained, investigations ongoing. The report also highlights a separate arrest of a suspected LockBit/Conti ransomware developer involved in building encryption payloads for major ransomware gangs.
